To J, Caco, Dr Shinogu Hasegawa,

     and Dr Hirotaka Matsumoto

Acknowledgements

It started with Dr Shinogu Hasegawa (Alma Animal Hospital, Tokyo,

Japan; also the vice president of Japan Physio & Hydrotherapy Holistic

Association, JPHHA), he mentioned he were getting happier and healthier

after he became a regular swimmer many years ago. Much more than that,

many of his cases (dogs) had fantastic outcome after hydrotherapy,

especially dogs with orthopedic problems and poor prognosis.

Likewise, my body condition and health status, was also improved

dramatically after I became a regular swimmer over these years. It was

how and why linked with pet hydro- and physiotherapy for me at the

first place.

During my visits to Dr Hasegawa’s hydrotherapy center (Club Alma,

Tokyo, Japan), I met Mr J Antonio (the president of JPHHA) and Miss

Takako Morooka (the vice president of JPHHA). I am amazed by what they

are doing for pet hydrotherapy and their strong passion for it. Their

profession is the class of state-of-art for pet hydrotherapy, from

depth of rehabilitation programs, working codes and ethics, passion to

facilities. They have set a highest standard for this profession, and

also the raw model for me to reach for. This consolidated my

determination to be engaged in pet hydro- and physiotherapy in Taipei.

Yes, all of you, J, Caco and Dr Hasegawa, make me believed that

medication or surgery may not be the only option for these dogs and

cats with various medical problems with poor prognosis. I thank you all

for sharing your professional knowledge and strong passion for pet

hydrotherapy, and warm friendship and support. And I truly believe that

more dogs and cats will be beneficial to hydro- and physiotherapy in

Taipei from now on.

From the bottom of my heart, Hiro (Dr Hirotaka Matsumoto, Nippon

Veterinary and Life Science University), my very good friend for

centuries, who introduced Dr Hasegawa to me, I thank you for your

professional advice, warm and generous friendship and support all the

way.

Alma Animal Hospital, Tokyo, Japan; also the vice president of Japan

Physio & Hydrotherapy Holistic Association, JPHHA)。

(Dr Hirotaka Matsumoto, Nippon Veterinary and Life

Dr Hasegawa,
